Codonanthe devosiana 'Paula'

Codonanthe ‘Paula’ might be one of the cutest plants you can grow. A member of the African Violet family, it forms graceful trailing stems lined with small, button-like leaves and delicate pale lavender flowers. In the wild, this species grows as an epiphyte and has a remarkable relationship with tropical tree ants. After flowering, it produces bright orange berries whose seeds mimic ant larvae, encouraging the ants to carry them into their nests for protection and germination. (Don’t worry—this unique interaction doesn’t attract household ants.)

Easy to propagate from cuttings and well-suited for hanging planters or terrariums, Paula is a charming, easygoing addition to any collection. Native to South America.

Plants are Grower's Choice and will ship in the nursery pot. Photos are representative of size and quality.
