About Us
Variant Plant Co. was founded in 2021 as a collaboration between EcoWalls—an industry leader in sustainable vertical landscape design—and Parker Plants, a major interiorscape company installing and maintaining thousands of commercial interior plantings and holiday displays throughout the NY-metro area. Driven by a shared need for consistent, high-quality foliage and access to a diverse plant palette, we combined more than 80 years of collective experience in tropical plant horticulture and customer care to create Variant Plant Co.
Our nursery specializes in producing rare aroids, ferns, and other unique tropical foliage (primarily in 4–6" sizes), offering premium-quality plants for our wholesale customers. We cultivate excellence through fully in-house propagation, including cuttings, seed production and pollination, liners, and our own tissue culture program. By controlling every step of the process, we ensure a diverse selection of beautifully grown tropical plants that meet the highest quality standards and arrive as established, well-rooted, and healthy stock.
We grow every plant in optimal conditions—inside our climate-controlled greenhouse. Nothing is stored in grow tents, garages, or makeshift spaces. Everything is grown on-site, under consistent light, airflow, and humidity.
Rooted in Milford, NJ, our state-of-the-art greenhouse sits conveniently between New York City and Philadelphia, making pickups and deliveries simple for our wholesale customers. We care for our plants like family, supported by automated irrigation and a comprehensive integrated pest management program that keeps them healthy from propagation to packing.
Our nursery is certified by the New Jersey Department of Agriculture and ships nationwide to retail customers throughout the contiguous United States (excluding CA and AZ).
