This jewel orchid is a truly a gem. Its deep coffee-colored foliage with light veining also has sparkle affect that is characteristic jewel orchids. A nice bonus is the spike of white flowers that is produced during the winter months. L. nigrescens is a wonderful conversation piece and also does extremely well as a terrarium plant.
